WATSON PTA EXECUTIVE OFFICERS NOMINATION FORM
The Nominating Committee will be meeting to select a nominee for each open executive officer position for the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 school years. If elected, each nominee for the positions listed below will serve a 2-year term beginning on July 1, 2025. A list of the open positions and a brief description of each follows:
- Co-President together with other co-president, supervises and manages the general business of the PTA, including preparing for and attending the PTA’s general membership meetings, representing the PTA at monthly PTA presidents’ meetings and in meetings with school administration and staff, convening and consulting the Executive Board as necessary concerning the business of the PTA, and consulting with and serving as a resource for all members and committee chairs as PTA events are planned and executed.
- Vice President of Fundraising chairs the relevant committees coordinating the PTA’s annual fundraising events, including the annual luncheon.
- Vice President of AIM (Arts in Motion) plans and schedules cultural events and assemblies for the students.
- Corresponding Secretary disseminates all PTA correspondence through MembershipToolkit and publishes “weekly roundup” posts in the Watson PTA Facebook group.
- Recording Secretary records and maintains minutes of all official meetings of the membership and executive board.
- Treasurer maintains the financial books and records of the PTA and manages all financial affairs of the PTA. Experience in banking and/or accounting strongly preferred.
